2016 MLB Season:Toronto Blue Jays vs.
Los Angeles AngelsAugust 23, 2016 by Marc Jerbs

On Tuesday, the Toronto Blue Jays will host a three-game series against Los Angeles Angels at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada. The first pitch is set at 7:05PM ET. This is the first meeting of the season for both teams. The Blue Jays will have knuckleballer R.A. Dickey on the mound while the Angels will counter with left-hander Tyler Skaggs.

Toronto holds a shaky half-game lead over the Boston Red Sox in the AL East. The Blue Jays are slowly getting back their injured players back in their lineup. Center fielder Kevin Pillar will play after a thumb injury last August 7. His return will give the Toronto flexibility in the outfield as well as adding another offensive bat in the lineup.

The Angels have no chance at all to qualify in the playoffs. However, Toronto must not take them lightly as this team will not go out without a fight. Los Angeles has nothing to lose in this game. They will treat this game as a chance to improve the team's cohesiveness and camaraderie for next season.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the Toronto Blue Jays as the favorites to beat the Los Angeles Angels in the first game of their three-game series at Rogers Centre on Tuesday night.
